A new poll has Jewish voters preferring Joe Biden over Bernie Sanders for president in 2020. The Morning Consult survey has 47.1 percent of registered Jewish voters supporting Biden, with just 11.1 percent supporting Sanders. While it is interesting to some that Jews are not supporting the Jewish candidate (Sanders), it is more interesting to discover that they see either of these men as capable of beating Trump.

Two recent articles in the Washington Post by author Philip Bump discuss the concept of “electability” and what it means. Apparently, voters see an older white man as more capable of winning the vote. Bump shows that historically, this idea has been completely myth-busted, but it still persists in the minds of the voters that old white guys get the vote. Read all about it here and here.
