Los Angeles Street Homes Painted With Swastikas

Swastika painted on home

Does it matter who lives in the homes defaced with antisemitic graffiti? Is it worse if they are Jewish? This is a question to ponder in the wake of an entire street full of homes in San Pedro, a neighborhood in Los Angeles, having been defaced with swastikas. San Pedro, a melting pot of Croatian, Portuguese, Mexican, Italian, Irish and Greek Americans, is home to the largest Italian community in Los Angeles.

The neighbors aren’t happy. They think it’s “ugly” and “not nice.” But as non-Jews, one thing they don’t feel is targeted. The police are investigating the incident, which affected over a dozen homes.
