Brother’s Plea: Released Hostage Seeks Return of Eitan Horn from Hamas Captivity

Iair Horn, a former hostage released last week, has revealed the harsh details of his captivity in a Hamas tunnel. Horn, who was held with his brother Eitan, shared that they were kept in difficult conditions with several other hostages, suffering from relentless psychological terror and interrogations since October 7.

Until his release, Horn had not been seen or heard from publicly, and his family had not received any information about his brother’s status. The Horn family has been anxiously waiting for news of Eitan’s well-being, and Iair’s return has brought them a breath of fresh air. Ruti Strum, Iair and Eitan’s mother, emphasized that her son’s recovery is contingent upon Eitan’s safe return, stating that “Iair will not be whole” without his brother.

Iair’s release has also highlighted the importance of Eitan’s inclusion in the hostage deal. As phase one of the deal progresses, the Horn family remains optimistic that their son will be included in phase two and reunited with them soon. The plea from Iair, “The only thing I need is for you to bring my brother back,” underscores the urgency and emotional significance of resolving Eitan’s captivity.
