Not long ago, Kamala Harris nodded and smiled as a student claimed that “Apartheid” Israel is engaged in ethnic cleansing. Instead of taking the opportunity to correct the record and educate the student, Harris declared that she was glad that the student felt free to “speak her truth.” Naturally, this was a repugnant incident that offended Jews everywhere. So now Harris is trying to clean up her image.

The ADL is headed up by Jonathan Greenblatt, who was previously director of the White House Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation under President Obama. Is it any wonder then that the ADL is giving Harris a chance to walk back her disgusting behavior? Harris will be speaking out against antisemitism at an ADL conference.

Some of us think this is a funny thing for an antisemite to do (and what else are we to think of someone who smiles and nods as someone accuses Israel of genocide?). We are not at all fooled into thinking that Greenblatt has the best interests of the Jewish community in mind.
