The Palestinian Authority is reluctant to go along with the opinion of most of the world, in regard to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, that Putin is a homicidal maniac. The most likely explanation is that Abbas doesn’t want to lose Putin’s support. Note, for example, the President Putin Palestinian Organization for Culture and Economy, located in Bethlehem.

At the same time, PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas does not want to lose Biden’s support for reopening the PLO offices in Washington and transferring the American consulate to “East” Jerusalem. But then again, Biden is equally culpable in supporting despots. Biden is in the process of working out a deal to import oil from Venezuela. Which is the same as supporting Maduro, who is just as bad as Putin.
