Retired Israeli Major General Says Trump’s Peace Plan is Existential Threat to Israel

Left to Right: Gershon Hacohen, Rabin, Clinton, Arafat, President Trump

It is expected that President Trump will roll out his peace plan for Israel and the Arabs after Israeli elections are held on April 9. Right-wing journalist Caroline Glick has an interview with recently retired Israeli Major General Gershon Hacohen in Breitbart regarding the possible dangers we may need to be on guard against. Hacohen is a rarity among the military elite in Israel, for his right-wing stance on politics.

The interview relates to a major study published by HaCohen in Hebrew, which received headline attention by Israeli media. The report is entitled, “A Withdrawal from Area C of Judea and Samaria is an Existential Threat.” Hacohen argues that any withdrawal by Israel from territory in Judea and Samaria poses an existential threat to Israel, with implications for the defense of major cities like, for example, Tel Aviv.

No one knows what will be in Trump’s plan. But if it is based on the Clinton Parameters, Israel will be called on to cede territory in Judea and Samaria. According to Hacohen, this would leave the State of Israel “indefensible.” He is hoping the Trump plan abandon’s the Clinton Parameters, which were, at any rate, contrary to assassinated Israeli Prime Minister and Clinton’s Israeli counterpart Yitzhak Rabin’s vision.
