Former Georgia Congresswoman and Green Party presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney tweeted an antisemitic conspiracy theory on Monday, claiming that “Zionists” are behind the 9/11 bombings. McKinney tweeted a photo of the burning Twin Towers with a hand adding the final puzzle piece on which was written the word “Zionists” completing the caption “Zionists did it.”

Below the meme, McKinney wrote, “The Final Piece of the Puzzle.”

Twitter has thus far refused to take the tweet down, saying the tweet is simply “strong political commentary.”
