On Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in Brazil for the inauguration of the new president-elect Jair Bolsonaro, said it’s only a matter of time until Bolsonaro moves the Brazilian embassy to Jerusalem. “Bolsonaro told me it was ‘when, not if’ he moves the embassy to Jerusalem,” said Netanyahu in a meeting with leaders of Brazil’s Jewish community in Rio de Janeiro.
Bolsonaro talked about an embassy move both before and after the election. But he has said nothing of an embassy move during his official appearances with Netanyahu. Which makes us wonder if he’s going to keep his word and follow the example of the United States?
