According to the latest FBI statistics, Jews are the target in 58 percent of all religiously motivated hate crimes in the United States. This is despite the fact that Jews comprise only two percent of the population of America.  While the 2020 numbers are grim, the percentage of antisemitic hate crimes has actually dipped in comparison with 2019, when 63 percent of religiously motivated hate crimes were against American Jews.

To put this all in context, Jews are the third largest target for hate crimes against minorities in the entire country. Jews are targeted more often than Hispanics, Muslims, Asians, and most other groups. Only attacks against blacks, whites, and the LGBTQ community were more frequent than those targeting Jews.
