Arab leaders, it seems, aren’t wild about President Trump’s “Middle East Riviera” for rehabilitating Gaza and the Gazan people. Instead, they’ve decided to go with an Egyptian plan to invest $53b in reconstructing Gaza without moving the Arab residents out. As usual, no one wants these particular Arabs in their country. They’d rather leave them poor and in place, without proper sanitation, many of them homeless, and with unexploded bombs/munitions everywhere.
The White House followed this announcement by the Arab leaders, by issuing a statement that Trump “stands by his vision to rebuild Gaza free from Hamas,” adding that “the current proposal does not address the reality that Gaza is currently uninhabitable and residents cannot humanely live in a territory covered in debris and unexploded ordnance.”
