You might think that Aliyah to Israel would be down what with the global coronavirus pandemic. You would be wrong. Thirty-four nurses who recently made Aliyah to Israel just received Israeli certification to continue their profession in Israel. This is especially helpful during COVID-19, and now that they are certified, hospital employment for the new immigrants will be accelerated with the help of an 80 million shekel commitment from Finance Minister Israel Katz.

“This period of the coronavirus crisis is a challenge for all of us, especially new immigrants,” said Aliyah and Absorption Minister Pnina Tamano-Shata. “That is why my ministry is making every effort to ensure they will find work in fields that are especially needed during this period.”
